Rick  also acknowledges the contributions of rudimental drumming great, Ken Mazur. This book covers idea of rudimental drumming as an art. Rudiments, terms, notation, expression, strokes, hand positions and much more are all covered. These concepts and diciplines are put to use across 150 short solos of varying difficulty.

Included in this book is Rick's national championship solo, XLR8-2. The video below is his 2003 installment of this solo. In this video there are only small differences from the books' notation.
